25th Anniversary Season

The Cowles Center April 6-8, 2012
Ttwo world premieres and last season's favorite, Burning Air.

S&S Dance celebrates its 25th Anniversary and its first performances at The Cowles Center with the premiere of Voices with live music by the brilliant Orange Mighty Trio. Choreographer, Joanie Smith, invites 10 former dancers and guest artists to create dance encounters, and weaves them into a physically delirious new work for the Company.  Ms. Smith also premieres a new solo, Hands On, in which she watches one hand give while the other hand takes. S&S Dance reprises last season's favorites, Burning Air,  "...dance that swirls like the vortex of an inferno…,” and Pat A Cake, "...a laugh out loud duet..." (Caroline Palmer, Star Tribune). This exciting evening also brings back Rhapsody, a romance on six velvet ottomans. >> ORDER TICKETS NOW at vendin.com.
