“…strong, sharp-edged dancing
and a daring theatricality.”

— The New York Times

“They’re athletic, sharp, articulate dancers, supple and beautifully controlled, and they connect immediately with audiences.”

— Camille Le Fevre,
The Minneapolis Star Tribune

S&S Dance celebrates its 25th Anniversary and its first performances at The Cowles Center with the premiere of Voices with live music by the brilliant Orange Mighty Trio.

Choreographer, Joanie Smith, invites 5 former dancers and guest artists to create dance encounters, and weaves them into a physically delirious new work for the Company. The Company will also perform Bolero, “...Gut busting athleticism and gut wrenching emotion...” (Linda Shapiro, City Pages) and Pat A Cake, “...a laugh out loud duet...” (Caroline Palmer, Star Tribune).

This project wass funded with the generous support of The National Endowment for the Arts, Target Foundation and McKnight Foundation.
